The Ladies of Charity meet the critical needs of those in challenging

situations through individual acts and collective ministries.

This includes:

  • Creating and distributing Layette and Gifts of Comfort

  • Preparing Christmas gifts for families and nursing home residents

  • Volunteering in parishes, charitable organizations and institutions and self-directed acts of charity

  • Creating and donating handmade items for inclusion in our Layettes, Gifts of Comfort and distribution to Hospice patients and the homebound

  • Providing a spiritual community for growth and devotion of members and friends through novenas and days of spiritual reflection

  • Hosting fundraising events and drives to fund the work of our Layette and Gifts of Comfort ministries.

ABOUT US 

The Ladies of Charity of the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York was founded in 1902 and has been serving those in need for over 117 years. Our Mission Statement expresses the commitment of our 300 members and volunteers to serve individuals in need, regardless of religious affiliation.
